Job Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibility of the Kitchen Sales Department associate is to provide the highest level of customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Monitor and control all buffet stands to ensure quality assurance standards. * Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store * Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products * Inform customers on ingredients in each recipe * Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size (or as close as * Check product quality to ensure freshness * Label, stock and inventory department merchandise * Display a positive attitude * Understand the store's layout and be able to locate products when requested by customer * Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions note any discrepancies in inventory * Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines * Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained * Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management * Notify management of customer or employee accidents * Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Qualifications: * Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs * Ability to read, write and do simple math problems * Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems * Able to work well with others as a team member * A passion for serving people Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
