Job Description The Technical Sales Representative position will be responsible for handling all customer inquiries and current customers in an assigned territory. The Technical Sales Representative will also be expected to prospect and grow the customer base to meet an assigned sales budget. The individual will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction from beginning to end of all projects in the assigned territory. The position requires the ability to handle and prioritize a variety of tasks. Great communication skills, both with the customer and the internal delivery teams, are essential. Keeping track of the stages of each project, responding to customers and team members in a timely manner, and following up to make sure everything is completed properly are key attributes. A basic understanding of on-site operations is needed to ask appropriate questions for quotes, handle potential issues, and ensure projects run smoothly. Job Responsibilities Safety * Every A&D associate is expected to conduct business in a manner that ensures the safety of its employees, contractors, customers, the general public and the workplace structure. * Promotes a safety culture that reflects common attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and values that employees have regarding safety. Sales Responsibilities and Duties * Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and prospective customers in order to understand their needs and to effectively sell the value of A&D's Services * Gather appropriate information from customers and prospects and coordinate with the proposal group/project managers for quoting and implementation. * Develop and implement an annual territory sales plan/budget based on Field Sales Manager, General Manager and CEO approval. * Maintain and grow existing accounts. * Identify, target, and close new accounts. * Document all sales activity and opportunities in a CRM and provide periodic reporting. The Ideal Candidate Will Have * 3+ years of direct sales experience in the Environmental and/or Industrial Services Industry * Highly driven sales professional with a proven track record of high growth * Direct experience in Emergency Response, Remediation, Field Services, or Waste Disposal required. * Proficient in proposal writing & project management. * Ability to effectively present information and answer questions from customers. * Ability to visualize a project and develop practical solutions to wide variety of situations. * Ability to interpret instructions and/or blueprints and drawings. * Must possess a current driver's license. * Ability to travel daily up to 75% of the time (including overnight - 10%).
