Full description of the position

Overview A privately-held leader in office furniture, industrial furniture, and storage solutions, seeks an accomplished Vice President/Sr. Director of Sales to lead its Sales team and drive profitable growth across North America. The ideal candidate will lead sales strategy and execution across multiple market verticals--Retail, eCommerce, Wholesale Distribution, Industrial/MRO, Education, Facilities Management, Government, and OEM--through direct teams, rep groups, wholesalers, and distributors. Key Responsibilities Customer & Channel Management * Manage direct sales staff and third-party sales representative groups; oversee major account relationships and daily operations. * Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. * Negotiate pricing, contracts, and freight terms (PPD, PPA, Collect). * Manage CRM and PIM tools to ensure customer onboarding, compliance, and digital content accuracy. * Represent Hirsh at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events. * Be diligent in following key industry news & developments and sharing insights and observations internally with company executives. Sales Growth & Strategy * Develop and execute a national sales strategy to expand revenue and market share across key verticals. * Identify new business opportunities, including product development partnerships, OEM programs, and potential M&A. * Contribute to the development of new products and product roadmaps. * Help lead product launch planning, post-launch performance assessments, and product end-of-life activities. * Act as an internal "Voice of the Customer", incorporating customer feedback as well as knowledge of the industry, competitors, product lines, channel partners, and product end-use trends. Solicit customer feedback during "scrum" pre-launch product development iterations. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration * Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to align sales initiatives with corporate strategy. * Lead annual sales planning, forecasting, and profitability analysis. * Recruit, train, and develop high-performing sales talent. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. * 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in office furniture, office supplies, consumer products, or industrial goods. * Proven record of revenue growth and team leadership. * Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills. * Experience in B2B and retail channels with an understanding of freight, fulfillment, and compliance processes. * Strategic thinker and hands-on leader with executive presence and collaboration skills. * Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce CRM, SAP ERP, and data analytics tools.
