Business Development Manager, Commercial Job type * Full-time Full job description The Business Development Manager's goal is to develop new commercial cleaning accounts within our area of the Washington, DC Metro Area. This Manager has connections to Property Managers, Commercial Real Estate Investors, and Office Administrators that are responsible for the procurement of janitorial services for their facilities. This professional will have a sales quota and will be responsible for creating an exciting sales and marketing strategy targeting our target clientele. Pay: $65,000 - $120,000 Annually Mix of Salary / Commission / Bonus The pay listed is the base salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Essential Functions: * Maintain a clean and organized network of Real Estate Professionals involved in the procurement process for janitorial services. * Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans, maintain present sales, attract and connect with new prospects, create proposals, respond to RFPs, and facilitate and close new business in conjunction with the company President. * Prospect for new business by cold calling, attending local networking events, and lead generation & qualification. * Drive lead generation and support company President in closing on leads. * Position yourself within your territory as a leader in your field. Establish a diverse network of relationships that reflect our company and our core values. Include people of influence within our industry, key community partners, strategic partners, and prospective clients. * Monitor bid schedules and understand the competition in the marketplace fully. * Assist in training in both formal and informal situations as needed. * Develop a network of skilled and informed operators. Partner with them to ensure understanding of prospects, clients, and your sales territory. Required Qualifications: Experience: * 5+ years of service sales experience to the Commercial Real Estate community, including finding, qualifying, and closing new business primarily through cold calls and self-generated leads. * Experience with and/or working knowledge of facility services, janitorial, commercial real estate, property management companies, or other related fields strongly desired. * Strength in writing and presenting compelling, detailed, sales proposals. * Experience pricing labor within proposals preferred. We currently have 50 professionals in our janitorial division and are looking for the right partner for growth * Aggressive lead generation mentality * History of success in selling B2B services to CRE clientele * Organized, efficient, and polished * Collaborative with the ability to work successfully within a tight-knit, lean team of service professionals in a "start-up" environment. * Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Salesforce or another CRM. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com (or similar CRM).
