Full description of the position

Overview

We're looking for a polished, driven Sales & Events Manager to own the detailing and upselling of weddings and social events at our luxury Newport hotel. This role is client-facing, detail-focused, and revenue-driven. If you thrive on flawless execution, strong relationships, and turning great events into exceptional ones, this role is for you.

What You'll Do
  • Detail and manage confirmed weddings and social events from contract through execution
  • Serve as the primary client contact, delivering a high-touch, luxury-level experience
  • Upsell food & beverage, rentals, enhancements, and experiential upgrades
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Banquets, Culinary, and Operations teams
  • Create and manage BEOs, timelines, floorplans and event documentation with precision
  • Conduct site tours, planning meetings, and tastings as needed
  • Ensure events are executed to brand standards and exceed guest expectations
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue while maintaining client trust What We 're Looking For
  • 2-5+ years of experience in luxury hotels, catering, or event venues
  • Strong background in weddings and social events preferred
  • Proven ability to upsell and manage budgets confidently
  • Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
  • Polished communicator with a calm, professional presence
  • Comfortable managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with event management software (Tripleseat preferred)
