Office Secretary & Retail Support Associate About Us Dingman Pools is a leading Long Island pool construction, service, and retail company dedicated to creating exceptional backyard experiences. Our team prides itself on professionalism, customer service, and "The Dingman Difference." We are looking for a versatile and energetic Office Secretary who can also step in to assist our retail store operations whenever needed. Position Summary This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys variety-- balancing clerical duties with retail support in a busy seasonal business. You will handle day-to-day office operations while providing extra help on the retail floor as needed. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Office Support * Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage calendars for service teams * Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits * Maintain organized records for service calls, invoices, and inventory * Process payments and prepare basic reports (using QuickBooks, Jobber, or similar software) Retail & Store Assistance * Greet and assist customers in the retail showroom * Support sales staff with merchandising, stocking, and light cleaning * Learn basic pool product knowledge to help customers when the team is busy * Assist with seasonal promotions and displays General Team Support * Jump in wherever needed: from helping with small shipping/receiving tasks to assisting technicians with paperwork * Provide backup coverage for team members during peak season or absences Qualifications * Previous experience in office administration, retail, or customer service preferred * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Friendly, professional communication style--both written and verbal * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Comfortable learning new software systems (QuickBooks, Jobber experience a plus) * Flexible and willing to "pitch in" wherever neededCompensation & Benefits * Hourly Rate: $20/hour * Overtime: Paid at time-and-a-half for eligible hours over 40 per week * Paid Holidays: 3 paid holidays after one year of employment * Growth Opportunity: This role can lead to a salaried full-time position with paid sick and vacation time * Saturday availability is required for most of the year Why Join Dingman Pools Be part of a family-oriented company where every team member makes a visible impact.
