Cultivating and growing sales from existing accounts is the primary function of the Inside Sales Associate. The Inside Sales Associate must be proficient in building rapport with customers, using AI and ERP system tools to suggestively sell to customers, capture all activity in the CRM, and to be disciplined each day to achieve goals. The Inside Sales Associate is also responsible for the management of the sales orders for their accounts, recording and reporting sales-related metrics, providing customer service to their accounts, and other sales and account- related tasks and duties as assigned. Responsibilities & Functions of this Position Growing Sales From Existing Accounts * Make fifty (50) warm outbound calls per day, often with email follow-up, to contact existing customers to build rapport, gain a better understanding of their needs, and suggestively sell our specialty food products * By assessing customers' businesses, use sales technique and relationship-building to win the customer to purchase CIC's range of products * Through influence, generate sales orders according to CIC's policies and Terms & Conditions * Preserve profit margin by limiting discount incentives to only standard pre-approved amounts, thus selling on quality, value, and the items' ability to be profitable or the customernot selling on price Daily Disciplines * Use time blocking to set aside and preserve outbound calling time * Use organizational skills to ensure follow-up with customers and sales order processing * Spend time each day to understand each sales channel in the account portfolio so you can "speak their language" and convey why CIC's brands and products are right for their business * Apply multiple and varied methods to stimulate higher YOY sales from existing accounts Follow CIC Professional Sales Standard Operating Procedures * Prioritize sales of "winning brands" and proprietary brands * Have an in-depth knowledge of all CIC brands and products * Operate with total adherence to CIC's Terms and Conditions, as updated from time to time * Follow Rhythm of the Year and Rhythm of the Day guidelines * Fight to preserve "prime time" and achieve sales and performance goals * Use the sales journal to plan each day and reflect on each day * Record the number of outbound dials, connections to decision-makers, and new business booked * Learn and use the company's AI tools for quick in-depth customer insights * Keep NetSuite updated with all calls, tasks, user notes, etc. ("If it's not in NetSuite, it didn't happen.") * Active engagement and participation in performance sales culture * Participating in all "call blitzes" for Holiday, Easter, and other campaigns from time to time as directed * Use discretion when requesting the sending of samples to customers * At the discretion of management, participate in local and distance trade shows * Participate in periodic account reviews and forecasts General Account Management * Ensuring all information in NetSuite is accurate, especially relationships, contacts, phone numbers, emails, shipping and billing addresses, shipping details, and all other data needed to properly service accounts * Regardless of how orders are processed, knowing when your customers' orders are "live" and following them through the fulfillment and shipping processes Pay: $53,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * What tools have you used to track your work (CRM, call logs, ERP, task systems, spreadsheets, etc.)? * This role requires making about 50 warm outbound calls per day.
