Shipper & Receiver The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the efficient receiving, stocking, and shipping of automotive parts and materials for a GM dealership. This role assists in maintaining accurate inventory and inventory organization, while processing inbound and outbound deliveries. The shipper/receiver assists parts drivers by building routes and helping to load trucks. The shipper receiver supports the overall parts department by maintaining two organized two stockrooms. Some parts deliveries may be required to assist during time off and/or periods of higher volume. Job Description: Receiving * Receive and verify inventory of daily deliveries to make sure every order is accurate against purchase orders, bill of ladings, and packing lists. * Report, document, note, and file claims for shortages and or damages. * Warehouse work and heavy lifting will be required daily. * Loading and unloading vehicles will be necessary throughout the day. * Utilizing an electronic log of all deliveries and related information for reference and confirmation. * Put away all orders to their specific destination based on part type & style. * Verify correct inventory counts on all products Shipping * Prepare, package, and ship parts for wholesale customers. Via our trucks, Ross Express, Fed Ex or other such carriers. * Process core and material return as necessary. Cores on a nearly daily basis. Inventory and Organization * Put parts away in designated bin locations * Maintain a clean and safe warehouse area * Perform inventory bin checks and assist during annual inventory. * Monitor Inventory and report any adjustments *Environmental & Physical Requirements: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds * A current valid driver's license and insurability rating is required * This position may require up to 25% travel Benefits Include: * Health, dental, life and disability insurance * 401(k) with company match * Flexible spending accounts * Paid Time-Off * Vehicle Discounts * Experience in the automotive Parts Field is preferred but not required. * Customer service, organization skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. * Familiarity with the vehicle products (a plus) * Time Management is required because you will need to ensure all deliveries are made within an efficient timeframe * Ability to lift upwards to 50 pounds * Must have a valid driver's license
