Job Overview D'Agostino's Auto Sales and Salvage is seeking a motivated and customer- focused Auto Parts Sales Associate to support our busy salvage yard and parts operation. This role is perfect for someone with automotive knowledge who enjoys sales, customer interaction, hands-on inventory management, and earning more through performance-based commission. You'll play the key role in handling parts inquiries, managing ordering, ensuring customers get the right parts, and keeping our vehicle and parts inventory accurate, organized, and up to date. Responsibilities * Earn commission on parts sold. * Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts requests. * Take customer orders and gather vehicle/part details. * Check availability in inventory systems and in the yard. * Accurately price parts and provide quotes. * Enter orders, manage invoices, and process sales. * Coordinate with yard/shop staff to pull parts. * Call customer when parts are ready for pickup. * Upsell related parts when appropriate. * Inventory incoming vehicles and record available parts. * Tag, log, and update parts in the system.. * Help organize vehicles, parts, and storage areas throughout the yard and shop. * Maintain accurate records and a clean, organized workspace. * Deliver excellent customer service to build repeat business. Requirements * Proven experience in retail sales within an automotive parts store or dealership environment. * Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, vehicle maintenance, and automotive service is highly desirable. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control and stock management efficiently. * Strong customer serves and sales skills. * Knowledge of vehicle makes, models, years, engines, and trims. * Familiarity with POS systems, CMMS software, retail math, Microsoft Excel, and inventory management tools. * Ability to negotiate effectively with customers while maintaining professionalism and courtesy. * Experience with dealership operations or automotive marketing is a plus. * Strong math skills for retail math calculations and order fulfillment accuracy. * Good phone etiquette with excellent customer service skills. * Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. * Willing to work both at the counter and in the yard. * Valid driver's license preferred.
