Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and retail sales, with the ability to engage with customers while providing an exceptional shopping experience. As a Sales Associate, you play a key role in driving sales with use of effective communication, appropriate merchandising, and proficient product knowledge. Duties * Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling. * Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers. * Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. * Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising strategies. * Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations. * Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing and discounts. * Uphold phone etiquette standards when handling customer inquiries via phone. * Foster a positive shopping environment that encourages repeat business. Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base. * Familiarity with merchandising principles and techniques is advantageous. * Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. * Experience with supervising staff is beneficial but not required. * A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the overall customer experience is highly valued.
