We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carrier Sales Representative with a specialization in flatbed transportation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods. Key Responsibilities: * Carrier Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with flatbed carriers to secure capacity and ensure reliable service. * Rate Negotiation : Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to optimize cost-efficiency and profitability. * Load Planning and Dispatching : Coordinate and plan flatbed shipments, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery. * Market Analysis : Monitor market trends, capacity, and rates to make informed decisions and provide insights to the sales team. * Customer Service : Provide exceptional service to both carriers and customers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly. * Documentation and Compliance : Ensure all shipments are compliant with regulations and maintain accurate records of transactions. * Collaboration : Work closely with the operations and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation services. * Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process, ensuring minimal disruption to service. Qualifications: * Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in carrier sales, with a focus on flatbed transportation. * Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the flatbed market, including carrier networks, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements. * Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively. * Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. * Tech Savvy : Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. * Customer Focus : Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage and exceed customer expectations. * Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
