Full description of the position

Overview Thames & Kosmos is a leading producer of STEM kits, educational toys, and board games, based in Providence, RI. Our products are known for combining rigorous educational value with engaging, hands-on experimentation and are sold through toy, game, book, and school market channels worldwide. We are seeking a Sales Manager for the Education Channel to help grow our K-12 education business. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys working directly with educators and believes learning should be active, hands- on, and engaging. The role partners closely with Sales, Product Development, and Marketing to ensure our products meet the needs of real classrooms. * Education Channel Sales * Grow revenue across the K-12 education channel, including: * Public school districts and individual schools * Private and charter schools * Education distributors and resellers * Homeschool organizations and cooperatives * Informal learning environments (after-school programs, camps, enrichment programs) * Corporate and nonprofit philanthropic education programs * Build and manage relationships with key education-market partners * Identify and pursue education purchasing opportunities funded through grants, public programs, and philanthropic sources * Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to educators and institutional buyers * Represent Thames & Kosmos at relevant education trade shows, conferences, and conventions * Educator Enablement & Curriculum Alignment * Work closely with product editors, engineers, and designers to ensure products are classroom-ready * Review and advise on lesson plans, classroom usability, and implementation in collaboration with internal teams and outside experts * Support alignment to educational standards (NGSS, CCSS, CSTA, ISTE, state standards, and other relevant frameworks) * Maintain and update standards correlations for relevant products * Gather and synthesize educator feedback to inform product improvements * Training, Advocacy & Market Insight * Design and deliver educator-focused trainings and workshops * Partner with internal teams to develop demos and hands-on activities * Act as an internal advocate for educator needs and market insights * Help identify when additional resources or staffing are required * Ideal Background & Experience * Experience in education-channel sales, account management, partnerships or adjacent education-facing roles * Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning * Experience working with educators or education organizations * Familiarity with education purchasing processes and funding mechanisms * Experience supporting curricula or classroom programs * Comfort presenting to groups of educators * Candidates do not need to meet every qualification to be considered.
