Seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager for a well-known hotel in Metairie. Catering Sales manager will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Banquet and catering functions. They will solicit Banquets and catering business, assist and coordinate with clients on everything they will need for their event. This will include planning programs and selecting menus. Catering Sales will work with client from the beginning of their event until it is over, building relationships and networking along the way. The base salary will be $50,000 - $55,000, depending on experience. A full benefits package is offered, along with an excellent commission structure. Duties of the Catering Sales Manager: * Responsible in achieving Catering and Banquet sales objectives and revenue goals within areas of responsibility * Solicit business with current and potential clients * Meet with clients to discuss their needs and requirements, planning menus * Develop promotional events to market catering operations to individuals and organizations * Maintain accurate and complete sales operational and transaction records * Keeping staff motivated to provide the highest standard of service * Organizing shifts and rotations with banquet department * Managing stock control financial planning and managing budgets * Meeting with suppliers and customers * Discussing contract requirements with customers Requirements of the Catering Sales Manager: * 3+ years of catering sales experience REQUIRED * Candidate must be an excellent leader and a good communicator who is focused on customer service * Must be experienced with building rapport with clients, developing solid business connections and coordinating events * Must have an excellent track record of success in hospitality business development, banquet and catering sales and hotel marketing * Qualified candidates will be highly organized and able to deal effectively with large volumes of work * Must be able to lead and adapt quickly to new business development strategies If you qualify for this Catering Sales Manager position apply today with your updated resume and contact information.
