Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Puppy Sales and Pet Care Specialist. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for engaging with prospective pet owners, providing expert guidance on puppy selection, and delivering exceptional care to puppies and other animals. Duties * Assist customers in selecting puppies by providing detailed information on breed characteristics, care requirements, and health considerations * Educate clients on proper pet handling, feeding, grooming, and training techniques to promote responsible ownership * Support puppy socialization and basic training using dog training techniques to encourage well-behaved pets * Provide pet care services including feeding, grooming, administering medications, and monitoring health status * Handle animal restraint safely during examinations or grooming procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff * Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, grooming areas, and customer spaces to uphold hygiene standards * Support veterinary team members with basic animal handling and kennel duties as needed * Engage with pet owners through excellent customer service, answering questions and offering advice on pet care and maintenance * Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary to ensure smooth daily operations Skills * Proven experience in dog handling, training, or pet care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant * Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint techniques, and kennel management * Skilled in pet grooming, sitting, and general animal care practices * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners of diverse backgrounds * Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods and animal handling techniques * Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy shifts * Passion for working with animals combined with a lively attitude that motivates team members and clients alike Join us to make a positive impact on pets' lives while helping new owners start their journey with their furry friends!
