Account Manager- Advertising Agency Location: Hybrid - Downtown Chicago (3 days/week in office) Company: Scale Marketing Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

Scale Marketing is seeking a Marketing Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts. In this role, you'll act as both a trusted client partner and an internal advocate--overseeing day-to-day account management, guiding strategy, managing budgets, and ensuring campaigns are executed seamlessly from planning through launch. You'll collaborate closely with strategists, creative teams, media buyers, and data analysts to deliver integrated marketing solutions that drive measurable business results. This is an ideal role for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and enjoys building strong client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts, maintaining deep knowledge of client goals, KPIs, and historical performance
• Partner with internal Strategists to identify growth opportunities and recommend solutions
• Communicate campaign progress, insights, and next steps to clients and internal teams
• Anticipate challenges and proactively propose solutions before they impact performance
• Manage campaign budgets, timelines, and scope changes
• Collaborate with media teams to ensure campaigns run as ordered and meet performance goals
• Coordinate creative deliverables and manage client feedback and approvals
• Prepare performance reports and lead client meetings and presentations
• Support client onboarding, competitive research, and strategic planning
• Oversee financial coordination, reconciliation, and invoicing What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of experience in client account management (agency experience required)
• Strong understanding of traditional and digital media channels
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear, confident communicator with a client-first mindset
