Overview KEMPER AIP Metals is renowned worldwide in the automotive, communications and electrotechnical sectors for its high-quality non-ferrous metal and semi- finished products. Job Summary The inside sales representative is responsible for managing the day-to-day activity of existing customer accounts. This includes sending out pricing, processing and tracking new and existing customer orders, managing customer inventories and material releases, invoicing, and solving problems. This position works closely with the customer and our sales, finance, and the logistic departments. This position is in-person and not eligible for remote work. Inside Sales Job Responsibilities * Manages an established customer base. * Maintains customer consignment inventories and releases material as requested by the customer. * Pricing and processing orders in SAP, including inquiring about costs and pricing with contract administration department. * Solving customer delivery challenges and supply chain management in concert with the logistics department. * Responds to routine customer inquiries regarding product; placement of orders; complaints; expediting and other business-related requests. * Takes customer orders via phone, fax, email or customer web portal utilizing company recording procedures. * Reviews and attaches invoices to existing orders. * Sends Invoice releases to accounting. * Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of the company's production and delivery schedules. * Coordinates activities with internal company departments. * Acts as a liaison between production/shipping and other internal departments with customers when a problem or question occurs. * Supports outside sales representatives with customers' issues as they arise. * Resolves any problems or questions customers have concerning existing or previous orders, shipments, and billings, including proper customer credit if required. * Tracks down and updates orders as requested by customer or supervisor. * Accesses, updates and maintains customer computer data base and record keeping system for individual accounts. Required Skills/Abilities * Proficient in SAP and Excel. * Professional in internal and external communications. * Problem solving aptitude. * Team player- willing to step in and help others when required.
