Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product features, and driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills within a fast-paced retail environment, including grocery store settings, with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties * Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits * Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining organized product layouts * Perform regular inventory checks and manage stock levels effectively * Upsell products to meet customer needs and maximize sales opportunities * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with proper phone etiquette * Support supervising staff in training new team members and overseeing daily operations when needed * Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred * Strong communication skills and bilingual abilities are a plus * Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math is required * Demonstrated ability to upsell products and perform merchandising tasks effectively * Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor * Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued * Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently * Knowledge of product demos, stock management, and grocery store operations will be beneficial * Must possess good phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers This role offers an engaging work environment where your sales expertise can thrive while delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.
