Overview We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Pawn Broker to join our team. As a Pawn Broker, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while facilitating transactions involving loans against personal items. You will be responsible for assessing the value of items brought in by customers, managing inventory, and ensuring a smooth operation of the pawn shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, basic math abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities * Assess and appraise items brought in by customers for pawn or sale * Provide clear information to customers regarding loan terms and conditions * Maintain accurate records of transactions using POS systems * Manage inventory, including stocking and organizing merchandise * Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience * Supervise staff as needed, ensuring compliance with company policies * Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy * Assist in retail sales by promoting products and services effectively Experience * Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred * Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for accurate transactions * Experience with POS systems is advantageous * Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our community * Supervisory experience is a plus, contributing to team leadership within the shop Join us as we provide valuable services to our community while fostering a positive work environment!
