Description JOB SUMMARY: The Parts Sales Lead is responsible for directing the daily operations of the Parts Fire & Safety Sales Department, with a strong focus on exceptional customer satisfaction, profitable growth, operational excellence, and team development. The Parts Sales Lead reports to the Director of Aftermarket Parts Sales. Key Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. * Lead the fire and safety parts sales team to achieve department objectives while delivering best-in-class customer service. * Oversee all fire and safety parts sales activities, including customer inquiries, order entry, purchasing, invoicing, and shipping. * Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers to effectively address and resolve parts-related challenges. * Manage daily phone and email volume, ensuring timely responses, proactive follow-up, and accurate handling of quotes, returns, and backorders. * Train, coach, and mentor team members to strengthen skills, reinforce professionalism, and support career development. * Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. * Support warranty and recall initiatives in coordination with OEM partners and internal departments. * Respond to and resolve customer concerns within 24 hours to ensure satisfaction and promote long-term customer retention. * Conduct on-site customer visits as needed to initiate, develop, and sustain strong business relationships. * Adhere to all company safety procedures and industry regulations, actively identifying and reporting potential hazards to promote a safe working environment. * Promote a safety-first culture and support continuous improvement initiatives within the service department. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises all Parts Department team members. * Execute HR processes in partnership with the Human Resources Department and in accordance with the employee handbook. * Ensure all team members receive comprehensive training and support ongoing development to enhance performance across all responsibilities. * Foster a positive, engaging work environment that promotes employee satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty effectively. The qualifications outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are required. or preferred for this position. * Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. * Experience: Five (5) + years of experience in industrial or truck parts sales; supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. Skills and Abilities: * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). * Strong customer service focus with excellent problem-solving abilities. * Exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through in all documentation and communication. * Experience with purchasing systems and CRM software is a plus. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Experience interacting with clients, vendors, and internal teams, providing professional support and maintaining positive relationships. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. * Ability to apply common sense and critical thinking to follow written and verbal instructions and resolve issues involving multiple variables within standard guidelines. * Capable of working independently on assigned tasks while also responding well to direction and collaborative assignments.
