Job description SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE We're expanding and are currently seeking an experienced multi-media sales executive to join our team. In this key role you will reporting directly to the Associate Publisher, and will develop new business for the Journal, daily e-newsletter, website and event sponsorships, ensuring your clients marketing goals are achieved while providing top notch level of service. Job Requirements/Qualifications, but are not limited to the following: * 3+ years of multi-platform media sales experience, with an established network of client and agency relationships from print, broadcast, cable, radio or digital media * The ability to focus on specific categories/industries, such as finance, law, medical, education, insurance, real estate, sports, hospitality, automotive, entertainment, HR, technology, health care, electronics. * Energetic self-starter with a natural drive to seek business opportunities * Must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of consistent sales revenue growth * Sharp & effective communicator with a consultative style, both verbal & written * On-point presentation skills and expert product knowledge * Ability to identify sales opportunities and develop client relationships with key decision makers * Solutions-based approach educating clients on the value of the San Diego Business Journal 360-degree platform and how our partnership can grow their business * Achieve and exceed all sales and performance goals on a consistent basis * Assist in development of local marketing initiatives. * Represent the company at all functions, industry and networking events * Experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software experience We offer uncapped commission plans as well as medical, dental and vision benefits.
