Industry: Commercial Refrigeration (Installation, Repair, Refurbishment & Service) Reports To: President Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Position Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by owning the lead generation, CRM, and quote management process at SpecRite Refrigeration. This role blends digital marketing oversight, sales process management and accountability to ensure leads are captured, followed up, quoted accurately, and converted at a high win rate. This position is not just about selling--it is about building a predictable, measurable sales engine that feeds high-quality work into operations. Core Responsibilities Sales Pipeline & CRM Management * Own and manage the CRM system to ensure all leads, opportunities, quotes, and follow-ups are accurately tracked. * Enforce CRM discipline: no lead, quote, or customer interaction goes unlogged. * Maintain CRM stages from lead -> qualified -> quoted -> won/lost. * Ensure quotes are sent, followed up, revised, and closed in a timely manner. Digital Marketing & Lead Generation * Oversee digital marketing efforts including website leads, social media, SEO, Google Ads, local listings, and inbound inquiries. * Ensure all digital leads flow directly into the CRM with proper tagging and source tracking. * Work with marketing vendors or internal resources to improve lead quality and conversion. * Analyze digital marketing performance (cost per lead, conversion rate, ROI). * Continuously optimize messaging and targeting for commercial refrigeration clients. Quoting & Sales Execution * Manage the quote process for installation, service, repair, and refurbishment projects. * Ensure quotes are accurate, complete, and aligned with operational capabilities. * Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to confirm scope, pricing, and timelines. * Improve quote turnaround time and win rate through process improvements. * Track win/loss reasons and adjust sales strategy accordingly. Metrics, Reporting & Performance Management * Set clear expectations for call volume, meetings, proposals, and follow-ups. * Conduct regular pipeline reviews and performance meetings. * Develop and track sales KPIs, including: * Lead Response Time * Lead-to-Quote Conversion * Quote Win Rate * Average Deal Size * Sales Cycle Length * Revenue by Service Type * Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to leadership. Process & Systems Development * Create and document sales SOPs, scripts, follow-up cadences, and CRM workflows. * Ensure seamless handoff from sales to operations once work is sold. * Improve coordination between sales, estimating, and operations to reduce friction and rework. * Maintain clean, accurate customer and job data for downstream execution. Qualifications & Experience * 3+ years of experience in sales management, business development, or revenue operations. * Strong experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Jobber, ServiceTitan, or similar). * Experience managing or coordinating digital marketing efforts. * Proven ability to build and manage a sales pipeline. * Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. * Comfortable working in a field-service or construction-related industry. Preferred Experience * Background in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, or industrial services. * Experience selling B2B services or projects rather than retail products. * Familiarity with estimating or job costing concepts. What Success Looks Like * All leads captured, tracked, and followed up in the CRM. * Faster response times and higher quote win rates. * Predictable, growing pipeline feeding operations. * Clear visibility into sales performance and forecasting. * Strong alignment between what is sold and what operations deliver.
