Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Bike Shop Technician and Sales Associate to join our team. This role combines technical expertise in bicycle maintenance and repair with exceptional customer service and sales skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cycling, experienced in mechanical repairs, and capable of assisting customers in selecting the right products. Responsibilities * Perform bicycle repairs and maintenance, including brake repair, suspension servicing, assembly, and general tune-ups on both bikes and E-bikes. * Utilize hand tools and power tools to service bicycles efficiently and accurately. * Conduct bike and E-bike maintenance tasks related to bicycles, ensuring safety and optimal performance. * Assist customers with product selection, providing expert advice on bike components, accessories, and gear. * Manage retail sales transactions accurately using existing POS systems. * Manage bike rental and bike tour bookings, POS systems, and shop-related procedures. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and parts are properly stored. * Educate customers on bike maintenance, safety procedures, and proper usage of cycling equipment. * Assist with inventory management, including stocking parts and accessories. Skills * Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic within a bicycle or vehicle maintenance environment. * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in suspension systems, brake repair, assembly, and general bike maintenance. * Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in bicycle repair. * Superior customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse customers. * Retail sales experience with knowledge of retail math for transactions and inventory control. * Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling bicycles or parts safely. * Passion for cycling with a good understanding of cycling products and industry trends. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both technical repairs and customer interactions.
