About Us: Capital Auto Sales is a dynamic, customer-focused automotive dealership committed to providing exceptional service and streamlined vehicle purchasing experiences. We are seeking to fill a full-time Automotive DMV Title Clerk position within the next couple months. Responsibilities Include: * Processing tags and titles in VA, MD, WV, and DC * Processing out-of-state tags via online systems * Calling to obtain trade-in payoffs * Scanning and filing all tag & title-related documentation (Most important: Closed titles and Inspection reports) * Contacting customers to gather missing title or registration information * Assisting with inventory title tracking and other administrative tasks * Submitting title work to the DMV using Vitu and Beacon * Verifying accuracy of all documentation including bills of sale, lien information, and odometer disclosures * Issuing temporary tags and permanent license plates * Confirming correct collected sales tax, title, and registration fees * Staying current on state titling regulations and ensuring DMV compliance * Providing support for duplicate titles, corrections, and dealer-to-dealer transactions * Collaborating with sales and finance teams using tools like Route One and VinSolutions * Communicating with Lenders to make sure we are up to date with all Lien registrations in a timely manner * Processing accounting for all tag and title-related accounts Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years of Tag & Title Clerk experience is required * Prior dealership or automotive experience strongly preferred * Experience using Beacon, Vitu, Route One, and VinSolutions is a strong plus * Solid understanding of DMV processes and multi-state titling requirements * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational ability * Self-motivated and able to think independently to resolve issues and manage workload * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Positive attitude and commitment to accuracy and compliance * Must be able to accurately process and reconcile accounting for all tag and title taxes and related accounts Capital Auto Sales Offers: * Competitive pay based on experience * Health care coverage * Paid time off and holidays * A professional and supportive work environment * Opportunities for growth and advancement Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM How to Apply: Please email your resume, relevant experience, and salary requirements in response to this ad.
