Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role combines leadership responsibilities with direct customer engagement, ensuring smooth store operations and exceptional service. Responsibilities * Assist in managing daily store operations, including supervising staff and ensuring adherence to company policies * Lead and motivate team members through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives * Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability * Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty * Manage sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties * Support purchasing decisions by monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering processes * Coordinate employee scheduling, payroll processing, and maintaining accurate records of employee hours * Conduct interviews and participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong team * Assist in marketing efforts to promote store events and sales campaigns * Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and health regulations Qualifications * Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervisory responsibilities * Strong sales background with expertise in retail math, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques * Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers * Proficiency in POS systems, inventory control software, bookkeeping, and basic administrative tasks * Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and supervising staff * Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties efficiently * Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within shift schedules * Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, marketing strategies, and store presentation standards * Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence * Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, purchasing, inventory management, and retail operations preferred * High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in management or retail is advantageous Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 35.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
