Thatcher 's Wine & Imports Thatcher's Wine is built on the energy and curiosity of a team of working sommeliers. Our foundation comes from years spent in Michelin-starred dining rooms and alongside traditional Old World producers, balanced by a constant drive to discover emerging regions and young winemakers shaping where the industry is headed. From benchmark classics to small-production wines, every bottle we offer is selected personally and with intent. Founded in 2018 with a focus on cellar consulting, Thatcher's Wine grew into an e-commerce wine shop and later expanded with the launch of Thatcher's Imports in 2020. We're looking for a sales representative to grow our presence in San Diego. This role is for someone who enjoys being in the market, understands hospitality, and takes ownership of their territory. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Manage and grow a defined San Diego sales territory * Maintain consistent in-person visits with restaurant and retail accounts * Present wines clearly and honestly through tastings, staff trainings, and events * Build long-term relationships based on trust, reliability, and follow-through * Identify opportunities within existing accounts and develop new business * Execute supplier priorities and sales initiatives in coordination with the team * Collaborate on inventory movement and depletion strategies * Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals OPERATIONS & ADMIN This is a hands-on role that requires organization and attention to detail: * Enter and manage customer orders accurately * Monitor inventory availability and pricing and communicate clearly with accounts * Build and maintain territory forecasts and sales tracking * Use Excel regularly for reporting, planning, and analysis * Work within an ERP / CRM / inventory management platform to manage accounts, orders, and inventory * Assist with new account setup and required documentation * Track and submit expense reports * Coordinate internally to ensure accurate and timely invoicing * Create event budgets and evaluate ROI EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of wine import or wholesale sales experience * (Wine retail or sommelier experience is highly relevant and encouraged) * Strong understanding of fine wine and the hospitality landscape * Comfortable working daily in Excel * Experience with ERP, CRM, or inventory management systems preferred * Self-directed, organized, and accountable * Strong communicator with a relationship-first mindset * Professional, grounded presence * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs BENEFITS * Generous paid time off * Medical insurance fully covered by the company Thatcher's Wine & Imports is an equal opportunity employer.
