Used Car Acquisitions Specialist Safford Brown Subaru of Manassas - Manassas, VA About the Job Safford Brown Subaru of Manassas is seeking a motivated and driven Used Car Acquisitions Specialist to join our dynamic team. Position Summary The Used Car Acquisitions Specialist is primarily responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality used vehicles for our dealership. This is a targeted acquisitions role, focusing on identifying and acquiring vehicles from a variety of sources to maintain a robust and competitive inventory. You will be a key player in our "We'll Buy Your Car" program, providing exceptional service and competitive offers to private sellers. Key Responsibilities * Vehicle Sourcing & Acquisition: Actively identify and acquire used vehicles through various channels, including private sellers, trade-ins, online platforms, and wholesale auctions. * Appraisal & Valuation: Accurately appraise vehicles by conducting thorough inspections and leveraging industry-standard tools (e.g., KBB, Black Book, VAUTO) to determine fair market value. * Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms with sellers to secure profitable deals that align with dealership goals. * Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with prospective sellers, providing a professional and transparent experience. * Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with current market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor inventory to make data-driven decisions. * Collaboration: Work closely with the Used Car Manager and sales team to forecast inventory needs and ensure a consistent supply of in-demand vehicles. * Documentation: Ensure all vehicle acquisition paperwork, including titles and purchase agreements, is completed accurately and in compliance with all legal and dealership standards. Qualifications and Skills * Proven experience in automotive sales, vehicle appraisal, or a related acquisitions role is strongly preferred. * Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable deals. * In-depth knowledge of vehicle valuation, market trends, and online auction platforms. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone. * Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. * Self-motivated and able to manage a high volume of leads and appointments. * Proficiency with dealership CRM and inventory management software. * A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
