Carolina International Trucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Counter Sales Representative. This person is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts for their medium and heavy duty truck needs. This involves utilizing product knowledge, navigating inventory systems, processing orders, and building strong customer relationships. Summary: Sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop or on the phone. Essential Duties: * Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting the required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. * Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is presented with the full product line. * Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information. * Provides high level of service to internal and external customers. * Pulls and fills orders from stock. * Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary. * Keeps counter areas clean and uncluttered. * Participates in all training programs that are made available. * Keeps current on new products and product updates. Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience in parts sales or customer service, preferably in the medium and heavy duty truck industry. * Strong knowledge of automobile parts and terminology. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to use computer systems and navigate inventory software. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (if applicable). * Valid drivers license Carolina International Trucks provides a comprehensive benefits package, compensation and incentives: * 401(k) & 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Referral program * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Schedule: * 8 hour shift Supplemental pay types: * Commission opportunities About Carolina International Trucks Founded in 1992, Carolina International Trucks is the largest commercial truck dealer in South Carolina.
