Position: Retail Sales Specialist Location: Multilocational- (La Jolla, South Park and Banker's Hill) Status: Full-time- must be available weekends About the Role We are seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic Retail Sales Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a natural conversationalist who loves meeting new people, building instant rapport, and leveraging in-depth knowledge of the latest fashion trends to help clients discover their perfect look. You will be the face of Thread + Seed--delivering exceptional, feel-good customer service. Responsibilities * Actively engage with every customer on the sales floor, utilizing expert product knowledge and personalized styling advice to meet and exceed individual KPI's and store sales targets consistently. * Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients through consultative selling, exceptional hospitality, and active use of our clientele program. * Assist clients in curating Build-a-Box gifts, offering thoughtful recommendations for occasions, color themes, and recipient personalities * Demonstrate strong product knowledge through engaging explanations of features, benefits, and brand stories * Accurately manage POS transactions, including cash handling and card processing * Maintain visually appealing merchandise displays through consistent restocking, folding, and merchandising * Promote store offerings--including our Style Palette service, Build-a-Box gifting, loyalty programs, and events * Resolve client concerns with professionalism, clarity, and a solutions-focused approach * Support store operations by maintaining accurate sales records, restocking needs, and client notes Qualifications * Must love sales! Previous experience in retail sales required * Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals * A passion for fashion, styling, and gifting * Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math * Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus * Experience with upselling or client engagement strategies * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail * A proactive, positive attitude with a desire to grow within the company Why Join Us?
