Full description of the position

Help local businesses grow profitably with radio advertising. As a radio advertising account manager, you'll work with existing and new clients, consulting with them and advising on the best way to get their businesses and services known and sold through radio advertising in its various and creative forms, ranging from regular radio ads through to innovative promotions, multi-media campaigns, and other outside-the-box concepts. You don't need radio selling experience - we'll train you. But you do need some business knowledge to help you understand business needs and spot opportunities where radio advertising can help, and having some experience in consultative type selling to businesses in general gets you up and running faster. We have three FM radio stations located SW of Houston in and around Bay City and El Campo (mainly serving Matagorda, Wharton and Jackson counties, and some coverage outside those counties too), with studios in Bay City. You'll need to live within our coverage area, but won't need to be in the office every day. After initial training, you can base yourself at home rather than in our offices if you prefer. With three different stations to sell, you've the broadest range of formats and products of any regional radio station group (we don't have many competitors) and a positive image in the community to build upon. Our listener numbers have doubled since new ownership three and a half years ago, and now is a great time to join this growing business.
