Full description of the position

• Makes sales calls on a regular basis.
• Stay current on daily specials of the company and emerging products in the industry.
• Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
• Determine customer needs, propose and upsell products.
• Establishes and maintains customer relationships for profitable sales.
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with the Sales Supervisor.
• Regularly meet with the Sales Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers.
• Generate weekly sales report and a weekly plan to measure performance to be submitted to the Sales Supervisor.
• Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
• Implement a sales plan and work with management to develop goals for sales volume and profitability.
• Meet or exceed the new business sales goals.

Requirements

/ Skills

• 3+ years' outside sales experience.
• 2+ years' experience in the wholesale meat industry.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of Excel spreadsheet software.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid Driver's license and proven safe driving record.
• Must be willing to travel up to 4 days a week.
• Experience with a food distributor is preferable.
• Focus on development of existing and new channel partners. Technology, Equipment, Certifications (i.e. 10-key, phone, chopper)
• Must have computer skills, Google Suit experience required.
• Word and Excel experience preferred.
• Salesforce experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and proven safe driving record. Physical

Working Conditions

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile, up to 4 days a week.
• Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry and transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and may occasionally weigh in excess of 25 lbs. Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
