SALES REPRESENTATIVE: PITCO Foods is a large independent foodservice distributor in Northern California. Based in San Jose, CA, PITCO also has distribution centers in Brisbane, Oakland, and Sacramento. Description: The Sales Representative focuses on how to maximize Sales Territory in revenue opportunities and sustainable market share growth, by engaging all customers segments, tracking industry trends, identifying new business opportunities, anticipating market direction, and aligning our strategies to market conditions and consumers. We're looking for a results-driven Sales Representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. Position Profile Requirements: * Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs * Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network * Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale * Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers * Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations and carry heavy products Job Duties: * Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers * Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs * Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships * Reach out to customer leads through in-person store visits and follow up calls * Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction * Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule * Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments * Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports * Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. * Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends * Continuously improve through feedback EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Requirements for the position include: * Proven work experience as a sales representative * Excellent knowledge of MS Office * Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships * Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales * Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills * Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills * Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs * Relationship management skills and openness to feedback Salary: Exempt-Level Negotiable Pitco Foods is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
