Assistant General Manager - Dry Side Reports To: General Manager Position Summary The Assistant General Manager oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School's daily operations. This role supports staffing, cash management, customer service, retail and vending, birthday party operations, and employee workplace culture while ensuring all operations align with Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures. Duties & Responsibilities * Direct and oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures * Support the General Manager with daily operational tasks * Manage staff to promote high productivity, strong performance, and positive employee satisfaction * Collaborate with Deck Supervisors and Golden Teachers on: class scheduling, student progress, customer service, and employee performance and training * Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff * Oversee retail and vending operations to ensure proper product mix and pricing * Train and supervise private party staff to maintain Goldfish Swim School standards * Develop proficiency in all technology platforms related to: bookings, class scheduling, reporting, administrative functions * Gain working knowledge of pool operations to ensure member satisfaction * Promote and maintain a positive workplace culture and strong employee engagement * Implement and oversee the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures * Train staff on EAP and facility safety protocols * Maintain current certifications and stay professionally up to date in aquatics and management Safety Standards The safety of our swimmers, families, and team members is our top priority. Education & Experience * High school diploma or GED preferred * Required experience includes: certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider * Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor preferred Certificates & Licenses Required (certifications offered in house during training): * Lifeguard Certification * CPR * First Aid * AED * Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week Benefits: * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Health insurance Work Location: In person
