Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager specializing in Fabric to join our expanding sales team. This role involves managing and growing a designated territory through strategic business development, account management, and direct B2B sales efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong outside sales experience, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of fabric products and related markets. As a key member of our sales organization, you will drive revenue growth by establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored product solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in the field, excels at relationship-building, and consistently identifies new business opportunities through strategic territory management and prospecting. Territory Management & Strategy * Maintain full ownership and strategic development of the assigned territory * Develop deep knowledge of customers, market dynamics, and competitive landscape * Serve as a brand ambassador representing the company and its fabric collections * Drive strategic sales initiatives and meet or exceed defined sales objectives * Forecast customer usage and communicate insights to sales leadership * Leverage custom design and development projects to grow key accounts * Identify and develop new opportunities through market trend analysis * Manage and sell closeouts and overstocks effectively * Build proficiency in internal systems including CRM, ERP, and company platforms * Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates on a daily basis * Participate in goal setting, monthly reviews, and ongoing performance tracking * Become an expert in assigned brands while maintaining working knowledge of all product lines * Embrace continuous learning, coaching, and professional development Lead Generation & Prospecting * Actively prospect new accounts within the territory * Identify and pursue growth opportunities with both new and existing customers Customer Engagement & Follow-Up * Ensure customers receive and review requested samples * Follow up on product placements and active opportunities * Confidently ask for the sale and close opportunities * Respond to customer emails and calls within 24 hours * Serve as the primary contact for merchandisers, designers, executives, and creative teams * Escalate customer service issues as needed to support timely resolution Cross-Team Communication & Collaboration * Collaborate with domestic and international internal teams to support customer needs * Partner with Tier 1 Sales Directors on strategic and key accounts * Support colleagues to ensure collective team success * Prepare materials for monthly segment meetings and weekly executive updates * Assist customer service teams by monitoring and escalating order-related issues * Work collaboratively to resolve critical matters efficiently Tradeshow Participation * Attend and represent the company at key industry events, including: * HPMKT * Interwoven * LVMKT * BDNY * NeoCon * HD Expo * Generate new business opportunities and strengthen relationships at each event Sales Meetings & Reporting * Participate in weekly sales meetings to recap customer visits, placements, and activity * Share insights on market conditions and competitive trends * Contribute to product development and tie-break meetings * Maintain weekly needle-mover and placement lists * Review weekly sales reports for accuracy in pricing, attributes, and customer data * Partner with sales leadership on annual budgeting and territory planning Ideal Background * Experience in fabric, textiles, interiors, furnishings, or related industries * Proven success in territory-based or field sales roles * Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills * Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams * Willingness to travel regularly within the territory and attend tradeshows Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Mileage reimbursement * Relocation assistance * Travel reimbursement * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Do you consider yourself a hunter sales person and have you been successful in a hunter sales role? * Are you comfortable with 50% travel with some airline travel and overnights? * Do you have industry (fabric) awareness, and the ability to serve as a trusted ambassador of the company's fabric brands.
