Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store while actively engaging with customers to drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in a friendly manner.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
• Handle cash and manage cash register operations accurately.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
• Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about features and benefits.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure an appealing store layout.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing inventory effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Utilize basic math skills for transactions and retail math calculations.
• Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
• Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Familiarity with cashiering processes and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with customers and colleagues alike.
