Job Description
: Medical Sales Associate (Part-Time, Commission-Only) - Springfield, VA / Northern Virginia Hybrid Kemet Health is hiring a driven, people-centric Medical Sales Associate to grow patient volume and referral partnerships for our Springfield, VA practice. This is a part-time, commission-only role ideal for a self-starter who thrives on in-person relationship building and agile, at-home outreach. A key priority of this role will be targeted patient recruitment and referral development for our psychiatry & endocrinology programs. Location: Northern Virginia territory (in-person), a focus on Springfield, VA area, with hybrid work-from-home for calls, email, and digital follow-ups Employment Type: Part-time, Commission-only (independent, performance- based) Target Start Date: By January 10, 2026 (end of the first full week of January) About Kemet Health We're an outpatient, multi-specialty group delivering relationship-based care across Psychiatry and Endocrinology , with additional services and specialties coming online . We operate an integrated outpatient telehealth clinic, focused on access and patient experience. We are soon expanding into interventional services including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and Ketamine for treatment-resistant depression. What You 'll Do Territory & Relationship Development
- Visit physician offices, therapy practices, hospitals/EDs, urgent cares, school/university health centers, and community organizations across Northern Virginia and in Springfield area to introduce Kemet services.
- Build a focused referral engine for our integrated
- psychiatry & endocrinology
- services, establishing and maintaining clinical linkages with other groups.
- As we progress into next year, later add in TMS and Ketamine outreach to psychiatrists, therapists, PCPs, and high-volume behavioral health referral sources.
- Book and host brief lunch and learns, drop-ins, and micro-events; ensure consistent touchpoints with high-potential partners.
- Maintain an organized cadence plan (weekly route, follow-ups, partner newsletters). Patient Recruitment Focus: Psychiatry & Endocrinology
- Execute a structured outreach plan to generate qualified patient inquiries and referrals for ourservices.
- Coordinate with our clinical and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs, clear eligibility expectations, and streamlined scheduling.
- Help improve show-rates through thoughtful follow-up, reminders, and relationship-based patient communication (non-clinical). Pipeline Building & Conversions
- Prospect daily via calls, email, and LinkedIn to set qualified meetings and referral trials.
- Work closely with our front office to accelerate scheduling and reduce no-shows.
- Track every lead/referral in Hubspot (CRM); own your pipeline from first contact through first kept appointment. Market Intelligence & Brand Activation
- Share field feedback on messaging, materials, payer mix, and referral friction points to help us improve.
- Support local community events, screenings, and tablings; coordinate with Marketing for collateral and outreach materials. Compliance & Professionalism
- Uphold HIPAA and healthcare marketing standards; represent Kemet with integrity and cultural humility.
- Follow lawful, non-inducement outreach practices; no promises of remuneration or clinical preference.
- Ensure all outreach messaging remains accurate, compliant, and aligned with clinical guidelines (no medical advice given). Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Weekly qualified meetings set and new referral sources activated
- Psychiatry & Endocrinology inquiries/referrals generated and first-kept appointments
- Show-rate and conversion performance from your sources
- Quarterly patient starts attributable to your pipeline (overall + TMS/Ketamine specific)
- CRM hygiene (on-time logging, stage updates, contact accuracy)
What You Bring
- 1-3+ years in field sales (physician liaison, pharmacy/device, healthcare services, or B2B with short sales cycles).
- Confident in in-person drop-ins , warm calling, and event tabling; strong written and verbal communication.
- Organized, persistent, and comfortable with activity targets; you love measurable wins and clear next steps.
- Local travel in Northern Virginia with reliable transportation; smartphone/laptop proficiency (Microsoft Suite/CRM). Nice to Have
- Experience selling to Psychiatry , Primary Care , Behavioral Health , or specialty programs (TMS, Spravato, Ketamine clinics, etc.).
- Familiarity with HubSpot, PowerPoint for simple one-pagers, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Schedule
- Part-time (15 -25 hrs/week) with 2 -3 in-person field days in NoVA/Springfield; remaining hours remote for outreach and follow-ups.
- Occasional early mornings or community events (as needed).
Compensation
- Commission-only with uncapped earnings based on:
- New referral source activation
- Present: Psychiatry and Endocrinology inquiry/referral milestones
- Future: TMS and Ketamine inquiry/referral milestones
- First-kept appointments
- Patient starts / service-line milestones
- Quarterly accelerators for exceeding targets
- Commission details finalized during offer; mileage and event reimbursements can be discussed for high-output reps.
