Essential Job Functions * Identifies and develops business opportunities through various means including making outside sales calls, conducting internet research, networking at local events, offering tours of the rental spaces, and attending trade shows * Manages catering event reservations by preparing requests for proposal, booking business reservations, and finalizing billing * Develops and implements sales strategies, creates marketing plans, and assists with new product development * Responds to customer inquiries; develops and maintains internal and external relationships to enhance customer service and further university catering goals * Prepares materials for periodic sales meetings and presents updates on catering and events sales activity * Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget * Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) * Moderate amount of experience working in sales or other related experience * Ability to work nights and weekends Preferred Qualifications * Experience in catering Please note : Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
