Outside Sales & Design Consultant Location: Tampa, Florida Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales & Design Consultant to join our team, blending sales expertise, design knowledge, and business development skills. This position focuses on residential and larger commercial projects, including strong relationship-building with builders, contractors, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will conduct in-home and on-site consultations, prospect new business, and represent our company in the community. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, and commercial project managers to secure new business opportunities. * Prospect and engage actively with larger commercial projects alongside residential customers to grow our market presence. * Conduct in-home and on-site visits to assess client needs and offer tailored flooring and design solutions. * Provide expert guidance on flooring products, features, benefits, and warranties for both residential and commercial applications. * Manage sales orders and ensure smooth coordination of projects from initial contact through completion and post-sale follow-up. * Maintain showroom samples and displays, and assist customers onsite as needed. * Participate in ongoing training to become a certified flooring and design expert. * Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions with builder and commercial partners. * Collaborate closely with internal teams to meet project specifications and timelines. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in interior design or related field preferred. * Minimum of 1-year sales and customer service experience; experience in commercial sales or working with builders a plus. * Passion for design, decorating, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. * Proven ability or strong interest in building relationships with builders, contractors, and commercial clients. * Excellent communication, organizational, and networking skills. * Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently. * Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required. * Flexible availability includes some weekends and evenings. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn sales/product software.
