Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Technical Sales professional to drive our sales initiatives by combining technical expertise with a passion for customer engagement. In this role, you will be instrumental in showcasing our comparison microscopes and imaging systems, providing tailored solutions to clients, and supporting pre-sales activities. Your technical knowledge of microscopy will empower you to deliver compelling product demonstrations and build lasting customer relationships.
Duties
- Learn and maintain product knowledge in order to professionally demonstrate technical products and their features.
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their budget and technical needs to recommend appropriate solutions aligned with their forensic laboratory requirements.
- Generate and maintain sales leads using CRM software, Insightly, to result in an increased customer base.
- Travel 2-3 weeks per month to customer sites to conduct product demonstrations and equipment installations, including training on all product features.
- Assist in training clients on product features and software applications.
- Attend Trade Shows (approx. 10 annually) to gather market information and sales leads.
- Manage technical inquiries from clients, providing clear explanations of system capabilities and troubleshooting guidance as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies. Experience
- REQUIRED - BS or BA Degree in the Life Sciences or Medical Sciences (ex. Biology, Chemistry, Geology) from an accredited school.
- Proven sales experience, 2-3 years, within the scientific equipment community, with a focus on forensic or laboratory instrumentation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging product demos that clearly communicate complex technical features.
- Effective project management skills with a track record of coordinating multiple clients simultaneously. Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
