As a Jewelry Associate, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting shopping experience and assisting customers in selecting the perfect pieces to suit their needs. Responsibilities * Greet and engage customers warmly, providing personalized assistance throughout their shopping experience. * Demonstrate product knowledge by showcasing jewelry features and benefits through effective product demonstrations. * Operate the POS system and cash register accurately, processing transactions efficiently while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. * Assist in managing stock levels, including receiving new inventory, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and visually appealing. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards for presentation and safety. * Utilize basic math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and calculations as needed. Skills * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. * Experience in supervising or mentoring team members is a plus. * Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to a diverse customer base. * Proven sales skills with a track record of achieving sales goals in a retail environment. * Familiarity with product demonstrations that highlight the unique qualities of jewelry items. * Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers for seamless transaction processing. * Basic math skills for handling pricing inquiries and transactions accurately. * Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly within the jewelry or luxury goods sector. * Retail sales experience - Required * Jewelry Sales - 1+ year preferred Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour depending on experience plus 2% commission on every sale!
