Overview We are seeking a friendly and energetic Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, retail experience, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Bilingual skills are a plus to serve our diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales and merchandising skills within a dynamic retail environment. Duties * Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and debit transactions * Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries * Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance sales opportunities * Maintain merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately * Assist with inventory management, including stocking and organizing products * Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly * Handle cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity * Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to customers * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area * Support supervising staff when necessary, including overseeing sales floor activities Experience * Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required * Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math calculations * Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities * Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous * Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse clientele * Demonstrated ability to upsell products and perform merchandising tasks effectively * Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately * Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Send resume at [please apply online] Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $24.74 per hour Work Location: In person
