We design, manufacture and sell monitoring and control solutions for the Telecom, Broadband, Data Center and Utility industries. Quest offers a suite of products that include both hardware and enterprise software solutions. We are seeking a driven and technically adept Sales Representative to promote and sell our industry-leading monitoring and control solutions. As a Sales Representative at Quest Controls, your primary responsibility will be to drive new business growth by proactively identifying and pursuing sales opportunities. You will employ a variety of outreach strategies--including cold calling, targeted email campaigns, and strategic engagement on social media--to connect with prospective clients and secure in-person meetings. During these meetings, you will deliver tailored product demonstrations, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Quest's monitoring and control solutions, ensuring alignment with the client's specific requirements. * Position is on-site at our corporate headquarters in Palmetto, Florida. *Key Responsibilities: * Proactively research, identify and qualify new leads/opportunities for Quest monitoring and control solutions. * Develop and manage a portfolio of accounts within the telecom, utility, and data center sectors. * Deliver sales presentations showcasing the value and benefit of Quest products and services. * Prepare proposals, quotes, and technical documentation in collaboration with application engineers. * Collaborate with clients to negotiate terms and successfully close sales agreements. * Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients to promote trust, satisfaction, and long-term loyalty. * Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to close and post-sale follow-up. * Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and execute creative outreach programs that generate and grow the sales pipeline within your assigned territory. * Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity reports to management. * Develop in-depth knowledge of Quest's products and services, and their application to customer needs. * Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and competitor offerings. * Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as needed. Education and Experience: * Prefer a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in monitoring and control systems, EMS, BMS, or HVAC controls. * Experience creating accurate and competitive quotes based on specifications, drawings, and market rates. * Familiarity with critical infrastructure operations (telecom sites, substations, data centers, etc.) is highly desirable. * Knowledge of HVAC systems, AC/DC Power, UPSs, Generators, ATSs, DC Plants, Switchgear, Fuel Tanks, and Electrical Panels. * Knowledge of protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, or other communication protocols. Skills: * Strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate complex systems into client solutions. * Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. * Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory. * Ability to clearly articulate value propositions and influence purchasing decisions. * Skilled in negotiating terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. * Proactively identify customer needs and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction. * Resilient and goal-oriented, with a drive to overcome obstacles and close deals. * Adapt sales approaches based on shifting market dynamics and customer preferences. * Demonstrate a tenacious follow-up/follow-through work ethic. * Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to adjust to change quickly and effectively.
