Full description of the position

The Original Equipment Manufacturer Sales Representative will sell and provide guidance about products needed by manufacturers. Duties and Responsibilities * Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the hydraulic wholesale and manufacturing fields. * Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls. * Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry. * Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements. * Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes. * Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients. * Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders. * Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly. * Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager. * Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. * Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences. * Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Physical Requirements * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. * Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required.
