Full description of the position

The Original Equipment Manufacturer Sales Representative will sell and provide guidance about products needed by manufacturers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in the hydraulic wholesale and manufacturing fields.
• Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
• Develops and implements strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
• Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand equipment needs and systems requirements.
• Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes.
• Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
• Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
• Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
• Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
• Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Physical

Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
