Irrigation Sales Manager About Taylor 's Thousands of people across the Lowcountry come to Taylor's for inspiration, materials, and guidance for the spaces that matter most to them. In this role, you'll play a key part in driving growth within our irrigation division--helping contractors, homeowners, and teams succeed while pushing Taylor's forward. About the Role The Irrigation Sales Manager is a leadership and revenue-driven role focused on growing irrigation sales, strengthening contractor relationships, and ensuring best-in-class product knowledge across the team. This role blends sales strategy, customer development, training, and operational execution. You will be responsible for "creating" irrigation revenue through proactive sales efforts, project support, and team development while maintaining Taylor's standard of service and community presence. Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Growth * Create and Drive irrigation sales growth through contractor relationships, project support, and proactive outreach * Establish and pursue new irrigation customers, accounts, and project opportunities * Work closely with contractors to quote systems, troubleshoot issues, and recommend proper materials * Track and achieve monthly and annual irrigation sales goals Customer & Contractor Relationships * Build and maintain strong relationships with irrigation and landscapers contractors * Serve as a trusted advisor for irrigation solutions, product selection, and system efficiency * Represent Taylor's at networking events, job sites, trade events, and community functions Team Leadership & Training * Train and lead a future irrigation sales team at multiple locations on irrigation products, system components, and best practices * Develop team confidence in quoting, upselling, and problem-solving irrigation needs * Create a positive and motivating work environment through recognition and empowerment Operations & Inventory Support * Collaborate with office manager on irrigation inventory levels and ordering * Ensure irrigation products are well-organized, stocked, and merchandised * Assist with scheduling, planning, and prioritizing irrigation-related daily tasks Product Knowledge & Expertise * Maintain thorough knowledge of irrigation systems, parts, and emerging technologies * Stay current on industry trends, water efficiency standards, and new products * Serve as the go-to irrigation expert for customers and internal teams Leadership & Culture * Demonstrate strong decision-making, organization, and delegation skills * Promote a safe, efficient, and professional work environment * Uphold Taylor's core values and "Helping You Win" philosophy Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent (College Degree preferred, not required) * 3+ years of experience in irrigation, landscape supply, sales, or management * Strong sales mindset with proven ability to build and grow accounts * Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills * Flexible availability to meet business needs (including some evenings and weekends) Physical Requirements / Working Conditions * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Standing and walking throughout an 8-hour workday * Exposure to outdoor temperatures (cold and heat) * Ability to work in wet, muddy, or dusty environments * Comfortable using tools, equipment, and warehouse machinery * 40-60 hour work weeks during peak irrigation season (March-June) * Work schedule may include Saturdays during peak season Compensation & Benefits * We offer a competitive pay plus incentive opportunities tied to irrigation sales performance, along with outstanding benefits including: * Medical & Dental insurance * Paid vacation and holidays * Simple IRA with company match * Team member product discounts Taylor 's Mission:*_We exist to deliver quality products and service with an experience that invests into our family and community.*_ " Helping Others Win."
