Job description Association Manager/Associate Account Executive A DC-based association management company is looking for a versatile, motivated and energetic association professional with project management experience to join our growing team! The successful candidate will be a sharp, results-oriented individual with proven success in project management, business development, membership, and marketing, as well as with excellent oral & written communications skills. This position works closely with our executive team and will be primarily responsible for program development and management as well as managing projects and operations of assigned association-clients. Project Management responsibilities: * Help association-client grow and fulfill its full potential by doggedly pursuing opportunities for their certification to be listed in various local, state and federal qualification ordinances and documents. * Execute association-client operations, marketing, membership/certification, sponsorship sales in consultation with Executive Director. * Work with the Board of Directors and various Committees to implement their action items, including technical program development for annual conference. * Execute association-client in-person and virtual training & educational programs and other meetings & events. * Grow assigned client-associations by recruiting and retaining their memberships. * Other operations-focused tasks, as required. Education & Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. * Minimum of 3-5-years of related experience required. * CAE certification is preferred. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills. * Strong customer service orientation and commitment to company's "Members Come First" motto. * Plan, organize and prioritize work effectively yet remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in work environment. * Excellent time-management, prioritizing, problem prevention and problem-solving skills. * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. * Ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously and work independently as well as a collaborative environment across internal departments in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to work across internal departments is a must. Work as a team toward achieving individual, company's, and client' annual business plan and budget goals. * Ability to travel 3-5 times per year. * Motivation to succeed, outgoing and friendly personality. * Preferred knowledge of iMIS, YourMembership or a similar membership database; MailChimp, Constant Contact or a similar marketing platform; WordPress, SurveyMonkey, and YouTube.
