Wine & Spirits Sales Representative - Account Relationship Manager Location: St. Paul, MN Company: New France Territory: Twin Cities Metro, Brainerd Lakes Region, and Southern MN Who We Are For over 30 years, New France has continued to redefine beverage sales with a diverse, thoughtful portfolio that goes far beyond traditional wine. Our collection includes fine wines, craft spirits, non-alcoholic options, sake, and cider. We pride ourselves on giving our sales team real autonomy within a focused, dynamic, and collaborative organization. Who You Are Proven Industry Sales Professional (Required): You bring a minimum of 2 years of professional beverage distributor sales experience (wine, spirits, cider, NA, or related categories). You already know how distributor sales works--routes, resets, placements, follow-ups, and closing--and you're ready to build. Category-Confident: You have a solid working knowledge of wine and spirits and the confidence to sell them into on-premise and retail accounts. You can speak credibly with buyers, bar managers, and beverage directors. Industry-Savvy: You understand the realities of the market--pricing pressure, menu cycles, incentives, and competition--because you've worked within it. Experience as a bartender or buyer is valuable, but hands-on distributor sales experience is essential. Relationship-Driven Closer: You thrive on prospecting, opening new accounts, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships. Market Connector: You know how to get in the door at bars, restaurants, and retail accounts and turn access into placements and velocity. Curious & Adaptable: You're energized by new products and emerging categories and enjoy learning enough to sell them with conviction. Self-Directed: You manage your time, territory, and pipeline independently and take full ownership of results. Logistically Ready: You have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. What You'll Do Sell with Experience: Immediately leverage your existing sales skills and market knowledge to identify high-potential accounts and close business. Grow the Business: Match our diverse portfolio--wine, spirits, NA, sake, and cider--to customer needs and drive sustainable sales growth. Build and Maintain Accounts: Develop long-term relationships with bars, restaurants, and retail partners, acting as both sales rep and trusted advisor. Execute Strategically: Plan efficient routes, follow up consistently, and execute sales plans aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Stay Organized & Accountable: Maintain detailed account records, track activity in CRM systems, and report on performance, wins, and challenges. Contribute Insight: Share market feedback, competitive intelligence, and ideas.
