The Opportunity They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to cover the Western Canada region. This individual will work closely with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and other key influencers in the design and construction community to drive specifications, influence product selection, and support growth within the building envelope sector. Key Responsibilities * Build and maintain strong relationships with design professionals, developers, and general contractors to increase product awareness and inclusion in project specifications. * Provide technical presentations, educational sessions, and demonstrations on high-performance building envelope solutions. * Represent the company in professional organizations, associations, and industry events relevant to building science and specification development. * Support revenue growth by meeting specification and project pipeline targets in the assigned territory. * Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and client support. * Maintain detailed records of business development activities, project opportunities, and client interactions using CRM tools. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred). * 7-10 years of experience in specification sales, business development, or technical sales within the commercial construction sector. * Solid understanding of building science, codes, sustainability standards, and green building rating systems. * Established network within the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) community. * Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and design professionals. * Professional certifications such as CDT, CCPR, or LEED accreditation are considered an asset. Skills & Attributes * High level of energy and passion for sustainable construction solutions. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is an advantage. * Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and operate in a performance-driven environment.
