Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Flooring Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will meet with homeowners in their homes, measure spaces, present flooring options, provide estimates, and close sales -- all in one visit. You will also assist in marketing efforts, including neighborhood outreach, and collaborate with internal teams for scheduling, purchasing, and order fulfillment. Success is measured by revenue, closing rates, and overall profitability. Key Responsibilities: * Provide an exceptional customer experience in-home, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback. * Measure spaces, present flooring options, and provide estimates to homeowners. * Close sales during in-home appointments, ensuring all steps of the process are completed efficiently. * Conduct door-to-door outreach in local neighborhoods to generate new business. * Collaborate with central purchasing, scheduling, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution. * Monitor personal sales performance and work to meet or exceed sales and margin goals. * Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and Hamernick's offerings. * Maintain showroom displays and assist with ongoing team training on product knowledge. Requirements: * Minimum 3 years of experience in retail or flooring sales; retail management experience preferred. * Proven ability to lead and work independently in a sales-driven environment. * Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. * Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends. * Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to meet customers at their homes. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. * Proficiency using electronic tablets and measuring devices during sales presentations.
