Firm Overview: LSDI, Inc. is a full service environmental graphics, wayfinding, architectural signage, and exhibit company. LSDI emphasizes complete design, fabrication, and installation services for clients. Our service area encompasses the entire United States. In addition to serving clients directly, LSDI also provides fabrication services to other signage and exhibit companies. LSDI's strategic clients consist of Government (Federal, State, and County), Healthcare, Museums, Parks, and medium to large corporations. LSDI doesn't offer services to small businesses or walk-in sales/services. LSDI also has existing relationships with several regional Commerical General Contractors and frequently provide subcontractor services to these companies. Characteristics of a successful LSDI Business Development Manager: Brings prior signage and graphic design experience with an ability to manage current client relationships and establish new ones. In this role, you would be reading and evaluating client quote requests and (RFP) proposal requests. This would include reading and reviewing construction drawings/plans, and graphic files / renderings, to see what signage/graphics items are needed. Working in collaboration with management to provide the correct pricing and complete proposal responses. Smaller transactions are typically straightforward quotes/estimates, composed digitally, while larger projects require drafting a proposal to include a cover letter, pricing tables with overhead project costs, project schedule, and often selecting and sharing examples of prior/similar work. Established template and quoting tool exist, however there is still a need for custom content and solutions to be offered on a project-by-project basis. This position is fully in the office, with the front-end team and management engagement on a daily basis. You will interact with the project designers as well as assisting with new project kick-offs and briefings, as well as acting in support role, helping with project coordination between the project designers and the clients. You will also be screening new proposal requests, and other project requests to make sure they are a good fit for our company, while weeding out opportunities that don't fit our competencies. This role requires a strong proficiency in grammar, spelling, writing, client professionalism, and extreme organization, being careful to organize due dates and task management. You need the ability to prioritize things correctly when meeting proposal deadlines. You should be a person who is highly communicative with clients, with thorough email responses to questions, estimates/proposals, and careful to understand their product needs and give them the best solution that meets their needs. (understanding signage and design is crucial here) Primary Job Responsibilities: * Develop and compose comprehensive project proposals to meet scope and budget in the business sales stage. * Work with industry partners (our vendors) as well company management to obtain component pricing for disciplines as part of a larger project - involves collecting quotes and analyzing those quotes when composing your proposal to clients. * Provide the management and fabrication team with clear guidance on project deliverables and schedule once a project is awarded. * Build and manage trusting and positive relationships with clients, employees, and sub-contractors and all cross-trade partners. * Organize, build, and execute a prospecting methodology that will allow to find new leads and expand client base. * Daily use of CRM software and bidding software to manage and track proposal and leads. Objectives & Results: * Developing project proposals for scope and budget in the business development stage a) Development of proposed work/fee plan & schedule based on an understanding of project requirements outlined in RFP's and Statements of Work documents. b) Development of additional project fees in response to change orders in scope/schedule; distribution to client, follow-up for approval/confirmation. * Upon contractual release, provide internal project teams with clear guidance on scope, budget and schedule a) Utilize internal CRM and Project management software to perform this function. b) Attend internal kick-off meeting at project initiation with designer(s) and fabrication team. c) Re-set team directives when any change order or schedule change occurs. * Build and manage trusting and positive relationships with existing and new clients, architects, general contractors and wholesale trade partners. a) Establish initial client kick-off meeting at project initiation to facilitate discussion accordingly - introduction and pass-off to project designer and fabrication team. b) Maintain communication with client for status/progress updates on active projects. c) Acknowledgement of client communications (sent via email or phone) on same business day with at minimum, identification of when request or inquiry will be addressed. d) Schedule meetings with clients, prospective leads, and make consistent effort to attend vendor outreach events, workshops, etc. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
