Harcros Chemicals Inc Job Description Job Title: SALES REPRESENTATIVE Job Code: 3550 Division: BRANCH FLSA Status:Exempt SUMMARY Sells chemical products and supplies or services by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Standards for this position are: Bogey = $200k, Maximum bonus = 40% of base salary. Calls on representatives, professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and implements sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company. Write customer order and instructions. Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record. Call on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepare order forms and sales contracts. Inform regular customers of new products or services. Listen to and resolve service complaints. Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers. Monitors and analyzes sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of promotion campaign. S. in marketing, business, or chemistry) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience; and one to two years related experience and/or training. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, unit costs and prices, margins, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid drivers license is required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Ability to use and knowledge of personnel computer and related software.
